Worlds in G-7
So, the 33th G-7 Worlds in slotracing are coming up! This year in Buena Park, in May!
The first, and biggest Worlds were in Gothenburg 1978 which Joel Montague, Team Camen, won. It was arranged by Go-69, Team ERC and Mölndals BK. There were 125 entries!
Paul Pfeiffer (1980, 1982, 1984), P.A Watson (1987, 1989, 1991) and Paul "Beuf" Pedersen (2001, 2004, 2007) are the only ones who's won G-7 World three times!
The G-7 Worlds have been arranged 11 times in Europe, 14 times in the U.S, 6 times in Brazil and once in the Carribean (St. Marteen, Netherland Antilles) at Reggie Corams.

In 1989, the G-7 Worlds was arranged two times! First, in Chicago arranged by J-P van Rossem and IMCA. Later on, in San Antonio arranged by John Ford, Hasse Nilsson, Floyd Guernsey, Brian Gailey, Jim Honeycutt and Theresa Anderson.
Which G-7 Worlds had the least entries? - 1993, in Jackson U.S and 2003, in Sao Paulo Brazil. Both of them with only 17 entries!
The racer who's driven the most Worlds ever, is Vlado Okali - 23 Worlds!
The one and only time the Worlds wasn't raced at a Kingtrack was in 1984 where it was at Elmsfords Nuvolari 220 track. This track was built in 1966.
Per Persson and Stefan Törnfeldt both raced the very first Worlds in -78, and they'll both be racing this years Worlds in Buena Park!
