2010 - a year with Worlds in both Wing and Scale racing in the U.S.
I remember the Worlds in 1978, me and Torgny Hansson stayed at his grandparents place at Skanstorget. I drove a chassi which Bob Proctor in Colorado built with a O/S long Porsche body and a Checkpoint armature.
At 2010's Worlds I'll probably have a Koford chassi, body and motor with Skinner-tires.
In 1978 we were 125 entries and Joel won the race with 492 laps. I think we'll be about 40 starting in 2010 Worlds, and I think Beuf will win with 1210 laps. In Gothenburg Guss' qualifyed on 4,011, Per Persson 4,141 and me on 3,883.
I hope that someone of us will get under 1,50 seconds in the qualification this upcoming World championship.

In 1978 there were no colors on the tracks, it was numbers so I've kind of made a "translation".

Recieved a mail from Vlado today;

Häftigt att Vlado kommer köra sitt 22a VM på Port Jeff 2010. Idag har jag kört dom första 50 varven på den blå 1/32 banan idag. Den var riktigt rolig och snabb!
It's pretty cool that Vlado will be driving his 22nd World Championship at Port Jeff 2010.
Today I drove the 50 first laps at the blue 1/32 track. It was really fun and fast!
EDIT; Rolf Lundberg saw that Vlado forgot about the Worlds in 1994, so we've edited it.

Jo, det var som jag trodde - Per Persson har kört 13 st G-7 VM, men han tror inte det blir så många från Norrland som åker i år. Janne och jag har börjat sätta ihop banan idag. Den kan bli okey med lite pyssel.. hoppas jag.
I was right - Per Persson has been on 13 G-7 Worlds, but he doesn't think that too many from Norrland will go this year. Janne and me started putting the track together today. Might get okey, with some work.. I hope.

Vi har fortfarande inte fått klar vilken bana vi ska köra 1/32 nats på, men jag lovar att det inte blir ovalen. Jag har varit slö och inte beställt biljetter till EM... ännu, Men VM biljetten är köpt för länge sedan. Jag & Sillén flyger med Air France, Guss kommer antagligen med köpa biljett snart. Tävlingen på Port Jeff blir Guss 18e VM, Silléns 9e, och mitt 11e. Hur många VM Per Persson har kört vet jag inte, men gissar på ~13 st, men han får höra av sig och berätta. Jag undrar hur många Vlado har kört. Måste va sketmånga.

We still haven't decided which track we'll drive 1/32 nats on, but I promise you that it won't be the Ovaltrack. I've been pretty lazy, and haven't booked any tickets to the European Championships.. yet. But the tickets for the Worlds are booked since a long time ago. The race at Port Jeff will be Guss' 18th Worlds, Silléns 9th and my 11th. Don't know how many Per Persson has been at, but I'd guess it would be about 13 ones, he'll have to contact me and tell. Wonder how many Vlado has been on. It has to be extremly many.

Imorgon hoppas jag att vi kan presentera vilken bana 1/32 nats kommer köras på 2010.
Vi har lite olika alternativ att välja på.

European Championships 2010
Var ute och gick nu i eftermiddags, gick förbi våran gamla lokal på Bergsvägen. Det känns lite tungt att det är förråd för en vaktmästare nu för tiden och att Hasses fyrspåriga bana ligger nerpackad på mitt jobb.

Fick mail av Barry Obler om resultaten från Boola Bash. Han sa att Tore körde med någon kaross som han hade monterat egen fena på. Den hade visst varit väldigt speciell enligt Barry.

Took a walk this afternoon, went by the place where we had our track. Feels a bit hard knowing that it's just a store for a janitor now a days, and that Hasse's fourlane-track is laying on my work.

Recieved a mail from Barry Obler about the results from Boola Bash. He said that Tore drove some sort of body he had built a fin on. According to Barry, it was a very special body. You can find the results here.

Onsdag kväll, det är 5 minus grader och snöar lite.
Idag har det inte blivit så mycket slotracing, gjorde klart min Light G-27 (1st-8th) lista. Tror jag ska skicka den till J-P van Rossem imorgon. Vlado var bussig och hjälpte mig med resultat från VM 2003 i São Paulo.
Jag lade till Vokis hemsida som länk i kolumnen till vänster idag.
Wednesday night, it's 23 degrees fahrenheit and snowing. Haven't been too much slotracing today, finished my Light G-27 (1st-8th) list. Think I'm going to send it to J-P van Rossem tomorrow. Creds to Vlado, who helped me with results from the Worlds in São Paulo, 2003. I put his website as a link in the menu to the left earlier.
